Section 17, officially Infield Grandstand 17, is on the first base side of home plate, in line with the left field foul line. It is part of the original 1912 seating bowl.
Space to the rear of section 17 was designated an accessible row (18), with spaces for wheelchairs and companions. There are eight real permanent seats (2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14, 15), and nine wheelchair/companion spaces (1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19).
Rows 1 through 10 are higher priced than rows 11 through 17.
Capacity of this section in 1975 was 481 in 18 rows. Currently it holds 414 seats in 16 rows.
The chart below shows which seats are obstructed (view of catcher, batter, pitcher, or anywhere in between them blocked), partially obstructed (the bases or anywhere inside the diamond blocked), almost totally unobstructed (only foul territory or a small part of the outfield blocked), or totally unobstructed
(including grass in foul territory); and shows which seats have blocked
